Henry Stedman
Born in Chatham in Kent, Henry Stedman didn't learn to walk till the age of two but enjoyed the experience so much that he's been doing it regularly ever since.
Over the past twenty years Henry's legs have taken him up and down Kilimanjaro, the Himalaya, the Yellow Peak Range in China, the Karakoram in Pakistan, the Chouf in Lebanon, the Cordilleras in the Philippines, the Dolomites in Italy, Gunung Leuser in Sumatra and round the Ramonafana National Park in Madagascar.
Henry is the author of Trailblazer's Dolomites Trekking and Kilimanjaro – The trekking guide to Africa's highest mountain and he has written two of the British Walking Guides: Coast to Coast Path and Hadrian’s Wall Path. He is also the author or co-author of The Rough Guide to Indonesia, The Rough Guide to Southeast Asia and the Bradt Guide to Palestine.
