Richard Knight is an award-winning travel writer. Currently working for the BBC, he has also been the editor of the Gapyear magazine and website, he has written for the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, TheTimes, the Financial Times, the Guardian, The Observer, the Daily Mail, The Independent and many other publications in Britain and abroad. He is the author of The Millennium Guide (also from Trailblazer) and has written or contributed to several other travel books. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Wanderlust overtook Richard at an early age and he has since travelled at every opportunity. His most recent visit to Morocco was to research Trekking in the Moroccan Atlas, which he did with the help of a flatulent mule.

Since then he has researched and written Blues Highway: New Orleans to Chicago A Travel and Music Guide which is also published by Trailblazer.
