Mark Elliott
Mark Elliott is a travel writer specialising in lesser-known destinations. A former radio presenter, he is often to be found at travel fairs delivering passionate eulogies on the under-estimated beauty of the hospitable Caucasus.
He was first captivated by the region in 1995 and over the past 18 months has visited every corner of Azerbaijan by car, 4WD, bus, train, foot and thumb with eight trips to Georgia en route for Azerbaijan with Georgia.
Elliott was co-author of Trailblazer's Asia Overland - A Route and Planning Guide, which was reviewed as a 'unique guide' (Global Adventure), and 'for the seriously independent traveller' (The Sunday Times).
His work for Trailblazer includes South-East Asia: The Graphic Guide and most recently the fourth edition of Azerbaijan with excursions to Georgia.
