Richard Danbury

Richard Danbury read philosophy at Cambridge University and trained as a barrister before practising in criminal law.

In a bid for freedom in 1998 he escaped to South America to write The Inca Trail: Cusco and Machu Picchu.

Married to Trailblazer author Melissa Graham (Trans-Canada Rail Guide), with whom he wrote The Rough Guide to Chile, he now lives in London and works for the BBC.
